The city of Albany, NY has been awarded a Grant and is offering to COVER ALL SET-UP COSTS
(set-up fees, bin and bag fees, and administrative set-up fees) for its Albany residents,
to help incentivize composting with FoodScraps360!
How does it work?
Easy as 1, 2, 3.
Sign up by clicking the sign-up links on this page, and simply enter your Albany home address during sign-up (cannot be a PO box), and you will automatically be added into the program, where all set-up costs (setup fees, bin and bag fees, and administrative fees) will be completely covered for you by the program! And from there, you select the ongoing subscription size and payment schedule that works best for you!
Once signed up, you will receive an email with further information on what to expect next, but in short, pick-ups take place every other week, and on your first pick-up day, you will receive your bin, a facility-approved biodegradable bin liner, and a list of what’s compostable! In other words, everything you need to Start Composting!!
You will also receive access to a Customer Portal, where you will be able to: manage your own account, view your personal pickup calendar, track a running total of your impact on the planet, schedule any “Skipped Pickups” for a discount, place orders for any kitchen counter-sized bags, order some FREE compost, and additional discounted bags of compost to be delivered right to your door!
