FoodScraps360 wants to ensure our composting services remain accessible to our subscribers, and we understand our recent pricing increase has been a challenge. Starting in August, we will review applications on a rolling basis for our reduced price scholarship program, which will offer 25 customers a reduced subscription price of $10/month.

November 10 (and every Friday): Climate Strike

November 3rd climate strike in Veteran's Park as part of the global Power Up campaign hosted by 350.org. We had participation from both the owner of FoodScraps360 and the office manager, as well as Extinction Rebellion and Industrial Workers of the World.

Join the new chapter of Fridays for the Future (FFF) Capital District NY during one of their weekly climate strikes! 

On 2nd and 4th Fridays, Climate Strikes will be held at East Capitol Park from 2:30 to 4:30PM. 1st and 3rd Fridays are hosted in Schenectady.

November 15: Fibercraft at Uptown UAlbany

The UAlbany Office of Sustainability will be hosting a crocheting workshop for people to make quick crafts such as hair ties, coasters, and more. This workshop will also provide educational opportunities on how to be environmentally sustainable. Stop by if you have the time, we would love to see you there!

How to get to Lecture Center 3C:

You can park at either visitor lot 1 (next to Collins Circle) or in the Colonial or State quad commuter parking lots.

Entering the main campus by Collins circle, walk towards the large fountain. Walk down the stairs to get to the fountain level and go through the doors on the right of the staircase. Lecture 3C will be by the doors.

- Call NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli at (518) 474-4044 and tell him to Divest from Exxon and Big Oil and Gas (more info HERE.)

- Call Gov. Hochul (877-796-1949) and tell her to Pass the Climate Change Superfund Act so that fossil fuel companies can start paying for climate disaster clean-up. 

- SEND A LETTER to Gov. Hochul letting her know you support the People's Climate Justice Budget (more info at link).

- SEND A LETTER to your US representatives telling them to protect Amtrak Passenger Rail funding (more info at link).
