Our Commercial Plans
Restaurants, Breweries, Roasteries, Schools and Universities…
FoodScraps360 is proud to work with a range of small- and mid-sized commercial entities across the Capital District to implement customized food waste collection systems. We understand that each organization has unique requirements - space limitations, differing business structures, varying amounts of food waste generated - and we are here to work with you on your specific goals for getting food waste out of our landfills.
We provide commercial food waste pick up to a range of customers - coffee shops and juice shops, restaurants, breweries, offices, bakeries, florists - for pick up on one of our weekly or biweekly routes. We’ll be glad to work out a pick up plan, sized for your recurring food waste collection needs. Call or email us to find out how we can help you comply with food waste diversion laws, and join the table-to-farm movement in our region!
Be a Socially (and Environmentally) Responsible Business
Become one of Our Partners and receive specialized support, as well as a vinyl cling to share your commitment to protecting the environment with customers at your brick and mortar location.
Need Extra Help?
We are also happy to schedule a time to visit your location for compost education or logistical discussion on food scraps collection and pick-up. We can also provide printable signage files to clearly mark your compost collection, and pave the way to success!
Additionally, the Center for EcoTechnology consults will businesses to help them achieve their sustainability goals.
NYS Food Donation and Food Scraps Recycling Law
Effective 2022, the Food Donation and Food Scraps Recycling Law requires all that businesses and institutions that generate an annual average of two tons of wasted food per week or more must:
donate excess edible food (to organizations such as food banks)
recycle all remaining food scraps if they are within 25 miles of an organics recycler (composting facility, anaerobic digester, etc.).
